We had such a great time celebrating Isaac’s birthday. We had a big crowd to BBQ with and I’m pretty sure Isaac had no idea it was for him but he sure had a good time. When we sang him happy birthday he smiled and swayed back and forth. So adorable! He wasn’t into his cake and only took a few bites. He just wanted to smear it all over his tray and wipe it on everything. He’s just not that into sweets, not such a bad thing I guess. He loved his balloons and we got some really great pictures (of course).
It was interesting, I wasn’t that into decorating for Jenna’s first birthday but this time around I wanted to do a little more. The thought that this may be my last baby to have a first birthday makes me a little sad and so I went all out. And for me going “all out” is making my own birthday sign (which I saw on pinterest), a homemade cake of course, and I printed off some pictures from his first year and put them up. That’s about as fancy as this mom gets. But it was so fun and I’m still in awe that I now have a one year old.
You are such an amazing mom! I wish we could have been there to celebrate with you all. I can’t wait to meet him and see you guys!!!
