Loving Spring Break

It sort of felt like we were hanging on by a thread right before spring break started. Life, ministry, school, etc. were full speed ahead and we all needed a little break. This past week has been so great. We’ve had some down time, a visit with Matt’s sister and niece (which was such a treat), time at the beach, overdo house projects, and play dates with friends.

I had been waiting all last week to go to the waterfront to walk along the beautiful row of pink trees. So that’s one of the first things we did when Megan and Bailey arrived. It was beautiful and a gorgeous sunny day to top it off.

We then headed to the beach for a few days. I often think this is the place that I can fully breath. I’m able to fully rest and relax at the beach. Life just gets a little quieter, slower (and no I didn’t leave my kids at home so that’s not it). It’s not that God is closer in these places, just that I’m quieter so it feels like He is. I’m sure some of you can relate. And well, sometimes it just feels nice to run your toes through the sand.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend. I can’t help but share. It’s what I do.

When I get caught up in the crazy of life I just need to pull up this last picture and remember that the Creator of the universe is in control, loves me, is so much bigger than what’s right in front of me and I just need to look to the horizon to see that something greater is happening. He’s weaving a bigger story at all times that will bring glory to His name.
