Fantastic Fall Retreat

We had our fall retreat this weekend. We had 40 students and 8 campuses represented. The students had a great time, God moved in their hearts and we pray it continues to propel us forward to making a difference on the campuses throughout the city.

Here are a few of the quotes from our sharing time. This is always so encouraging.

Coming this weekend rekindled my faith and I don’t want to go back to who I was.

I want to take risks for God and people.

My heart has been changed this weekend.

We’re not perfect but God can use our flaws and our stories to influence others.

I’ve played in the safe zone for so long and I need to step out and take that step of faith. I need to tell others about Christ not just “show” it. I realized God can use me, I can make a difference.

Just to top off the weekend it was like God opened up the heavens and blessed us with the most amazing weather. We were able to do the low ropes course, play volleyball, take lots of pictures (of course), and have a bonfire, all without rain. Praise Him! It was a glorious weekend.

What wasn’t so glorious was sleeping in the same room with the kids and being awake from 3-4 hours both nights with Isaac. I’m not doing that again until, well, never if I can help it. I’m getting too old for that.

And I can’t help but show a couple pictures of the amazing fall weather with my adorable son in them. In the last week he’s decided he wants to walk a lot more. He’s off and running!
