Cake Heaven

Today is my dad’s birthday. Happy Birthday dad! He’s one of the hardest working men I’ve ever known. He loves his family and has always sacrificed for us even when it’s not easy to do so. He’s an incredible papa to his grandkids. He adores them, spoils them endlessly and is adored just as much in return. He also LOVES chocolate and peanut butter. Since they were with us over the weekend we celebrated his birthday a little early and I made a cake that I found on pinterest. It was an “Oh my, I’ve died and gone to cake heaven” kind of cake. Seriously amazing. If you like chocolate and peanut butter then you HAVE to try this cake. It was devoured and I’m already planning when I can make it again.

You can find the recipe here. I added a little coffee along with the water because coffee makes everything better. I froze it for 4 days and only did 2 layers because I only have two 9 inch pans and I also added some sea salt to the top because it’s pretty and it’s also a tasty addition. I’m drooling just thinking about it.

Here’s the rich and delicious center of our almost devoured cake. Thanks for having a birthday dad so we could celebrate and eat this amazing cake. My brother even said it was a $20 slice of cake. Now that’s a compliment. So, what are you waiting for? Go bake this amazing piece of cake heaven.
