A Christmas of Firsts

We had a really great Christmas season around here. We took advantage of the beautiful lights around the city, did a little Christmas candy making, loved reading our Advent book and lighting our candles and even got to enjoy the snow at my families house the weekend before Christmas.

There were many firsts for us as well. It was our first Christmas in Portland. First Christmas as a family of four and Isaac’s first Christmas. Our first Christmas with our new church family. Our first Christmas with Matt’s dad. Our first Christmas without snow in a very long time. A first Christmas brunch with our friends here. And our first time going to the beach a few days before Christmas to find incredible weather. The last week has been refreshing to our souls for sure. I hope yours was a blessing as well.

Now we’re off to our annual Winter Conference with college students. It’s always an incredible time as well as a little exhausting. We’re so excited to see what God will do there and also to see our friends that we haven’t seen for what seems like far to long.
